Kate Granchelli | CEO & Founder

Kate hails from a small town located outside of Buffalo, New York. Kate has worked as an educator, nanny, family assistant, for diplomats and high-profile families in Los Angeles and New York. She was also the Director of Recruiting for a Los Angeles-based agency. Kate has worn many hats in the private staffing industry. After spending many years on the West Coast, Kate’s love and commitment to her family brought her back East where she founded Modern Minders. Understanding family dynamics is essential, and Kate's skills have earned her a reputation for being honest, genuine, and excellent at matching talented professionals with families. She has successfully placed numerous nannies and childcare providers. 

Kate holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Design from Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York, and a Masters in Secondary Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She is also a certified elementary Visual Arts Teacher,  English As a Second Language, and Reading tutor. Aside from her endless dedication to her team and families, Kate is passionate about mentoring local youth, supporting the development of local and national arts programs, and having adventures with her French Bulldogs, Bodi, and Ziggy.

Bodi G. | Office Assistant

Bodi became a member of the Modern Minders team when he was just 12 weeks old, and we are thrilled to have him with us. His friendly personality makes new talent feel welcome with a warm sniff and lots of kisses. His infectious smile can melt anyone's heart. Apart from being French, Bodi is skilled in snuggling, sniffing, chasing the mailman, pretending to be a pig, and keeping feet warm. He has a habit of eating pens and loves sitting on computers (We mean typing, of course!) When Bodi is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his brother Ziggy, sleeping, playing with his stuffed animals, and creating his own line of bow ties for other Frenchies.

Ziggy G. | Second Office Assistant

Ziggy became a part of the Modern Minders team when he was only 8 weeks old, in 2022. We're incredibly grateful that he did, as Ziggy is Bodi's loyal companion and the most affectionate little dog you'll ever meet. Besides being French, and Bodi's biggest fan, Ziggy is an expert at snuggling, exploring, chasing Bodi, getting zoomies, and hiding under tables to surprise you by jumping out at your feet. When not at the office, Ziggy enjoys spending time with his "brother" Bodi, running around the backyard like a madman, and learning new tricks. We just adore him!
