Created Educated Nanny for inquisitive 7 -year-old | Brooklyn Heights and International Travel

A family in Brooklyn Heights is looking for a nanny for their active and intelligent 7 year old son. This position requires a lot of energy, creativity and an adventurous spirit. They value an education minded person who can inspire and motivate B7 to explore his interests; which include crafting, Lego, piano and science. The hours required are very flexible. You should be comfortable staying late, or coming in early. No week is exactly the same. This is fully staffed house, so there is very little outside of childcare involved. However, you should have a pitch in attitude, as everyone works together to make the house run smoothly. This can include making dinner or loading the dishwasher. You must be comfortable working around other adults and the parents as they are in and out most days. The average day consists of pickup, snack and homework, after school play. B7 is active and loves to run, jump and play. He is also interested in learning to skateboard, ice skate and tumble. You also must be very comfortable taking the subway and other transportation as this is a favorite activity. The parents are incredibly involved, so you must be able to step back when needed, but take charge when the situation calls for it. Summers are spent largely in the Hamptons, so you must be a good swimmer and love being outside. The family is also traveling more, so being passport-ready is a bonus.
